BikeRide is our on site bike shop at Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre which provides bike hire, repairs and merchandise, as well as inductions and memberships for our on site bike tracks.
At Avon Tyrrell we are an approved registered British Cycling MTB Centre and CTC accessibility Cycle Centre and the BikeRide tracks are unique to the area, with no other trail centres around to challenge intermediate and expert riders, as well as teaching beginners to hit the tracks! We have also recently undergone some changes on the bike tracks and now have an accessible trail for those using the inclusion bikes.
Blue Route: Our blue route is an easy ride around Avon Tyrrell and is suitable for all of the family and for the use of BOMA wheelchairs and inclusion bikes which are available for hire if pre-booked.
Red Route: Our red route is for intermediate to expert riders only and this route contains some technical sections including switchbacks, jumps, descents and climbs.
Pump and Gravity Tracks: These routes are for intermediate to expert riders only. The purpose built tracks will have berms, table tops and rollers, which are all designed to improve your skills. To use this track you will need an induction which can be organised with the Avon Tyrrell BikeRide team.
North Shore Park: Try this extension of our improved red loop. Based on the wooden platforms in the North of Canada, this will definitely test your technical abilities improving balance and control. This route is also only for experienced trail riders.
If you need bike parts or a service, we can do that too with our Cytech qualified bike mechanic.

Coming from London, the North or East...
From the southbound M3 motorway just before you get to Southampton, join the M27 and follow signs for the West and Bournemouth (the M27 eventually becomes the A31 dual carriageway). After approx. 15 miles, watch carefully and exit off the A31 left for BURLEY (signposted Burley and Services). Follow the signs into BURLEY (about 3 miles). In the centre of the village you will find a triangular junction with a war memorial in the centre - turn right (signposted BRANSGORE and Avon Tyrrell). After a couple of miles you will rise up a hill and come to a crossroads at THORNEY HILL. Turn right (signposted for AVON TYRRELL). Go over the cattle grid, continue for 400m until you reach a fork in the road and a white cottage on the right - (large sign for AVON TYRRELL straight in front of you). Take the right fork which is our private drive. Please obey the speed limit and watch out for the speed ramps if you want to avoid expensive suspension repairs. Avon Tyrrell House is at the end of the drive.
Coming from the West of England, head for RINGWOOD via A31 or A338, continue east past Ringwood up the main A31 dual carriageway for about 1 mile. As you get to the top of a hill there is the turning off left signposted to Burley and Services. Continue to Burley & Avon Tyrrell as directions above.
