Kings Hyde Cottage, is the sympathetically restored 18th Century outbuildings to the adjoining Old Hyde. The stylish decor, modern facilities and lovely warm feel makes the cottage an ideal hideaway retreat for a break all year round. Situated in a peaceful location it offers totally independent, delightful single storey accommodation.

Recently refurbished to reflect it’s peaceful setting, it features your own front door leading into a hallway, the sitting/dining room with a vaulted ceiling, offers a comfortable place to relax with a sofa, armchair, television and DVD player. The dining area offers a table with four chairs with a retro hatch which looks through to the fully fitted kitchen. With electric cooker and hob, fridge, washing machine, microwave, kettle and toaster and all the little essentials to offer a home away from home.

The bedroom features a comfortable kingsize bed, large cupboard and underbed storage. Views from the bedroom window overlook the cottage garden. The Shower room has a new vanity unit with basin and toilet, storage facilities, backlit vanity mirror and heated towel rail. The Double shower enclosure has an Aqualiser power shower.

You have two outside seating areas, the sunny patio area which can be accessed from the patio doors from the sitting room, overlooking the mature garden, featuring a table, chairs and parasol. Just behind the cottage you have a secluded lawned area to relax in the deckchairs after a hard day exploring.

You have a private parking space and a lockable storage area if you choose to bring or hire bicycles.

Kings Hyde Cottage is nestled in a quiet, peaceful setting where you can walk down the drive and within a minute you are walking down a lane directly into the Open Forest (wellies are required in the wetter months) walking with the local wildlife of ponies, cattle and deer. From here you can walk to The Filly Inn and the Hobler pub.
Across the road from the cottage is The Passford House Hotel, with a friendly welcome where you can enjoy the bar or have a meal. You can also enjoy their leisure facilities on a day pass.

The cottage is only a couple of miles from the Georgian Sailing town of Lymington, with it’s Saturday market, Marinas, supermarket, museum, pubs and fine dining establishments. Our favourite place to eat in Lymington is The Shipyard. Sway village, is 2 miles away with an amazing butcher, post office, general store and railway station with direct links to Waterloo Station. The many activities and attractions the New Forest National Park offers are all within a short distance of the cottage.
A little further, are the beaches of Milford on Sea, Baton on Sea and Mudeford. You can wander the Solent Way from Lymington to Keyhaven along the sea wall, an area of international importance for the large numbersof breeding, feeding and roosting birds that it supports and admire the views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight.

The New Forest is a truly beautiful area, there are so many exhilarating and more relaxing activities and attractions in the National Park that I cannot list them all in this space. Walking and Cycling maps and more detailed information is available in the cottage and I’m always happy to help with ideas.

Follow the A31 from Ringwood heading East in the direction of Cadnam and Southampton. Come off A31 at Picket Post, signposted for Burley (also signposted for Services). Follow signs for Burley which will take you underneath the dual carriageway and out onto the forest road.
