This is a Victorian church with a small 13th century chapel. The chief treasure is a fresco of parable of the wise and foolish virgins by Lord Frederic Leighton. There are stained glass windows by members of the pre-Raphaelite movement, including William Morris, Rossetti and Edward Burne-Jones. In the churchyard lies Mrs Reginald Hargreaves born as Alice Lidell famed as "Alice" from Lewis Carroll's story "Alice in Wonderland". She lived to be 82 and died in 1934.
