La Perle is situated in the stunning location of Milford on Sea. This pretty seaside town is made up of winding streets, quaint boutiques and a certain je ne sais quoi into which La Perle fits perfectly.
Sam Hughes is the proud new owner and Head Chef of his first restaurant, La Perle. You may remember Sam from when he represented Milford-on-Sea in the TV series Professional Master Chef a few years ago.
As a young chef, Sam trained under Raymond Blanc, who continues to follow Sam's career closely and has been a positive influence on him over the years. It was during his time spent with Monsieur Blanc that Sam developed his passion for seasonal dishes made from locally sourced produce.
The result can be seen in the menu, where everything is made from scratch in the restaurant, from the bread and butter to the ice creams and sorbets. The New Forest is a key source of many of Sam's ingredients with over 90% of his produce sourced from sustainable suppliers in Hampshire and Dorset.
Sam prides himself on creating delicious food at affordable prices so at lunch time, for example, you can indulge in the set lunch with a glass of wine from just £14.50 or you can treat yourself to the seasonal a la carte.
