Lovely traditional Victorian cottage just on the edge of Lyndhurst in the heart of the New Forest. Yorke Cottage is situated in a quiet no-through road, within a short stroll of the village centre with all the amenities that it has to offer, yet only 2 minutes walk form the open forest. Suitable for walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, sight-seeing or just taking it easy.


The cottage is very comfortably furnished and well equipped. The kitchen has a range cooker and all mod cons so you can choose to cook at home if you want to. The cosy lounge has a living flame-effect gas fire, and there is a separate dining room adjoining the kitchen. Upstairs the master bedroom has a king size bed and there are twin beds in the second bedroom.

There is private off-road parking for one car at the front of the cottage, and an attractive enclosed garden with patio area and a large shed for secure storage of bicycles at the rear. A barbecue is also provided.

A traditional country pub, offering home cooked food is 5 minutes walk away and there is good selection of restaurants and shops, all within walking distance. Yorke Cottage is great for couples wanting to explore the New Forest, and have a cosy cottage to come home to at the end of the day. The cottage is also ideal for families, and a stair gate, travel cot and high chair can be provided at no additional cost.

From Cadnam, M27 Junction 1, follow signs to Lyndhurst. As you enter the village, take the very first turning left into racecourse view. Follow this road for a short distance until you pass Clarence Road on your right. Approximately 30 metres further on, the tarmac road turns sharp rigtht . You need to turn left into the gravel covered lane (caution: tight corner). Yorke cottage is on the right hand side of the first house on the left.
By train - the nearest station is Ashurst from Waterloo.
