Hurst Details

• Double room sleeps 2
• Hurst is a generously sized double with a most comfortable king sized bed. The room looks out over the grounds at the rear of the house and down across open fields to the Solent and beyond.
  
  Hurst takes its name from the spit on which Henry VIII constructed a castle as part of an extensive scheme of coastal defences. Its guns could command the narrow channel at the western end of the Solent, and the castle today is an Ancient Monument open to the public. The walk along the spit can be envigorating at times, but Hurst ferries run a water taxi to and from the castle in the season, which is a fun trip in itself.

Keyhaven Details

• Keyhaven is a light spacious and luxurious twin/double bedded room looking out across the grounds at the rear of the house and then down over adjacent farmland to the Solent and beyond.
  
  This room takes its name from the hamlet to the east of the village lying in the shelter of the Hurst shingle bank, Once a small fishing port with an export of salt, its tidal harbour is now popular with yachtsmen, anglers and birdwatchers; Much of its charm has been caught on canvas by numerous artists drawn to the area.
  
  Bath sheets, H2K organic toiletries, complete the large en-suite shower. Ensuite accommodation, Non-smoking room. DAB digital radio and CD plater;hairdryer. TV is provided in the very comfortable guest sittingroom.

The Attic Details

• Double room sleeps 2
• The Attic is a light and airy suite comprising two rooms; A bedroom with a king size bed and a sitting room (with en suite leading off). The views from the top of the house are quite exceptional not only taking in the Solent but also looking out to the Needles light and Christchurch Bay.
  
  One of my favourite parts of the house, The Attic offers the additional privacy of the sole use of the second floor (perhaps not so user friendly if stairs are challenging, or you have a mountain of luggage, but well worth the effort when you get there).
