Downloadable New Forest Walks


There are designated accessible footpaths in The New Forest provided by the Forestry Commission. These way-marked walks can be found at the Bolderwood, Blackwater, Knightwood Oak, The New Forest Reptile Centre, Whitefield Moor and Wilverley Plain car parks.

Lyndhurst Parish Council launched the Lyndhurst Parish Circular Walk in 2009. The walk roughly follows the parish boundary. It can be completed in one go (3-4 hours, 13.5Km) or choose from many shorter routes, returning along pavements at the points indicated on the map.


The Solent Way walk is a 60 mile walk starting from Milford on Sea to Emsworth Harbour.


The Avon Valley path is a 34 mile walk from Salisbury to Christchurch. The walk passes through the New Forest from Fordingbridge to Ringwood.
