Water Sports in The New Forest

Luxury sunset sails to adrenalin-rush Rib rides . . . and the south coast’s first water-skiing and wakeboarding cable system

Whether you like adrenalin-rush rib rides or luxury sunset sails, the New Forest is the natural choice when it comes to water sports along its stunning coastline.

The New Forest is most commonly known for its fantastic New Forest walking routes or cycling routes, in its beautiful woods and open moors where wild ponies roam free. Its hidden gem, which is less well known, is a wonderful 43 miles of glorious coastline.

New Forest shores among ‘recommended beaches’ to visit

Popular New Forest beaches at Barton-on-Sea, Calshot, Lepe and Milford-on-Sea are among the Marine Conservation Society’s recommended beaches 2016.

All have a Solent Water Quality Award and are featured in the Good Beach Guide, which can be viewed online at goodbeachguide.co.uk.

Only beaches which achieve the highest standard for clean bathing water are recommended in the guide.
