Top 5 Things To Do: February Half Term 2016
February half-term (13th – 21st February) is often an awkward time of year when finding things to do. Christmas is over, Easter is a month or two away and you can’t rely on the weather for outdoor activities.
Here’s a few of our suggested things to do this February half term:
1) Beaulieu National Motor Museum: Hands-On Half Term
Throughout February half-term, The National Motor Museum in Beaulieu offers a wide range of great, interactive activities for the whole family. Get ‘hands-on’ this half term and, quite literally, get your hands on objects throughout the attraction.
Why not visit the Victorian Kitchen? Or Become a Medieval Builder? There are so many attractions at Beaulieu National Motor Museum that you won’t know where to start!
On top of all of this, if you own a Brand New Forest card, you’ll get 10% off all items in the main reception shop.

2) New Forest Centre Discovery Days

4) Ugly Duckling and Frozen Sing-Along at Forest Arts Centre, New Milton
On the 17th and 18th February, the Forest Arts Centre in New Milton has booked two exciting events that children are going to love.
The first is The Ugly Duckling performance by Thingamajig theatre. A beloved tale about a duckling that thinks looking different is bad. As he grows, he realises that not looking the same as the rest isn’t so bad after all.
The Ugly Duckling performance takes place in the Forest Arts Centre on 17th February 2016 at 2pm. Tickets cost £7 and they also offer a family ticket for £25.

If that’s not enough, the Forest Arts Centre is screening the sing along version of Disney’s double Oscar winning animation – Frozen.
The Frozen sing-along is the perfect opportunity for kids (and adults of course) to dress up, let it go and sing as loud as they can with Elsa, Anna, Olaf and the crew!
The Frozen sing-along is being screened on 18th February 2016 at 11am and 2pm. Tickets are £3. For more information and to book tickets, please click here.
5) Family Photoshoot with Essential Images, Lymington
The children are on their half term break and the parents have booked a few days of holiday each from work. Perhaps, by some kind of miracle, a few days have crossed over and the whole family have a day off together. This is the perfect time to capture a professional family portrait.
Children grow up so fast so it’s no wonder why parents take so many photos of them. But looking back on these photographs in the future, wouldn’t it be nice to have a great quality photo of all of you together?
Jan and Malcolm from Essential images are professional photographers based in Lymington. For more information on prices and booking a family photoshoot, please click here.
