This is a great place if you're looking to get some great photo opportunities of the natural surroundings of the New Forest. The area was ploughed and sown with much needed crops during WWII, and today the grassy fields have become an attractive area for grazing ponies as well as for having nice summer picnics and playing games.
There is a fantastic way marked walk nearby through the great woodland of the New Forest that is also suitable for wheelchair and pushchair users. The inclosure is a mixture of confirs and broadleaves, old and young, with some open areas making it a beautiful and interesting place to explore.
Not far from Wilverley is the Naked Man, once called the Wilverley Oak in 1759. This is where highwaymen and smugglers were hung from. Little remains today, although the oak stump is fenced off making the tree easier to find.
