Warborne Organic Farm Shop

Tucked away in a country lane between Lymington and Boldre, is Warborne Organic Farm shop. I first heard of the farm when my parents joined their box scheme.  Once a week a box of delicious vegetables arrived on our doorstep; ranging from ‘normal everyday veg’ to the more exotic items.  It was always nice to receive more unusual items which we probably wouldn’t normally buy, and if we were unsure of anything or how to cook it, the farm was simply a phone call away and the staff were always extremely friendly and helpful and full of useful advice, tips and recipe ideas.  The vegetables supplied are always varied and naturally they depend on what is currently in season.  

We now no longer have the regular boxes, but instead we visit the Farm Shop regularly as part of our weekly shop. It is nice to see the farm in action and to see the variety of vegetables, meat, dairy products and wines available. It is not unusual to go in the lambing season and see newly born lambs in the barn beside the car park, or to see the shearers shearing the sheep as the warm weather arrives.  In the fields around the farm it is always nice to see the animals with plenty of space in large fields.  Often the fields opposite have flocks of free range chickens or in the build-up to Christmas, flocks of geese enjoying the freedom of the large field.  The staff in the shop are always extremely friendly and helpful and there is often something different available to try. 

The butcher is also very friendly, providing very helpful advice on how best to cook the meat you have chosen, or if you have any special requirements, he can usually help with these too. As well as their own products, Warborne Farm shop also supplies additional organic products from other organic farms in the area. Whatever we buy from Warborne, it is always delicious and we know we will always have something tasty and organic.
