A roaring fire and a decent pint of local ale awaits you at this traditional thatched country pub in the north of The New Forest, an ideal spot to warm up after a long winters walk. 

All dishes at The Rose and Thistle are cooked to order using local in season produce whenever possible.  

With local favourites such as venison with spring onions and chestnuts and the home made sticky toffee pudding with custard, The Rose and Thistle’s menu is indulgent comfort food perfect for the winter season. 

The pub is open for drinking daily between 11am to 3pm and 6pm to 11pm and on Sunday between 12 noon to 10.30pm.

Food is served daily between 12 noon to 2.30pm and 7pm to 9.30pm and on Sunday between 12 noon to 2.30pm only
