Taste Trails
The Taste Trails have been designed for you to enjoy two of the best things about The New Forest at once, the environment and the food. Each trail can be done on foot, by bike or by hoof!
The North Taste Trail
Once you have fuelled up on a New Forest Breakfast served at Stable Tea Rooms the North trail takes you from Hyde to Fritham across the Hampton Ridge. This trail will give you some of the most spectacular views in The New Forest then take lunch at The Royal Oak in Fritham. Here you can tuck into one of the best ploughman’s in the area using New Forest Marque produce.
Heading home you can pick up some more local treats for dinner or a BBQ at D.J. Prices Butchers and Mole Hole Deli in Fordingbridge.
The South Taste Trail
Watch out for the New Forest Ponies on the South Trail as you will be going through the villages of Brockenhurst and Burley, here these furry locals have the right of way! The South trail starts just south of the Rail Station in Brockenhurst through picture perfect scenery to Burley.
When you arrive in Burley head straight to Old Farm House Restaurant and Tea Rooms that serves up the famous New Forest Breakfast for any early risers as well as a full menu combining local produce throughout the day. Heading home why not pop into Setley Ridge Farm shop just south of Brockenhurst for some tasty dinner morsels and a bottle of wine from the vineyard to go with it.
