We headed out of Beaulieu village towards the North Solent National Nature Reserve which is a must for any budding bird watcher. You are then guided through an area of woodland which leads out to the boat yard and on to Bucklers Hard village. Bucklers is definitely worth a visit the walk recommend 2 hours to look around the village as there is a lot to see with its 18th Century Village and Maritime Museum.

We retraced our steps home but instead of going through the woodland we walked along the river bank. The path is mostly paved with wooden decking, there are area's of the path that are compact mud which could be a little muddy in wet weather. This was my favorite part of the walk it was so peaceful and the views across the river were stunning with bench's along the way to sit down and enjoy the moment.

Over all this was a really enjoyable walk with the right balance of wildlife, history, and stunning views all made very accessible by the route which was excellent and the description of the walk was clear and easy to follow and it was really handy to have the ordnance survey map as part of the walk next to the route as a reference.
