Forest Leisure Cycling Route Pack
This pack, compiled by Forest Leisure Cycling, the Cycle Centre based in Burley, contains 9 comprehensively detailed cycle routes around the New Forest, suitable for all ages and abilities. All routes start from Burley Village and include distances from 5 to 32 miles and utilising as much of the off road network of trails as possible. The 9 routes are:
Old Railway, a flat, level ride of 5 or 13 miles with options to visit Tea Rooms and Brockenhurst, - 2 Tea Rooms, many Pubs
The Woodland Trail, an 8.5 mile tranquil forest ride,
The Hill Fort ride, which is an interesting 9 mile route mixing a spectacular viewpoint, gravel tracks and quiet lanes visiting stunning beauty spots. - 2 Tea Rooms, 1 Pub
The Owl and Reptile ride , visting Liberty's famous attraction near Ringwood. - 1 Pub
The Deer Sanctuary ride, a 12 mile loop including Bolderwood or 18 miles with 2 pubs to visit,
The Linwood Loop, which extends the Deer Sanctuary to a total of 20 miles by taking you out to the beautiful Linwood area. - 1 Tea Room, 2 Pubs.
The Rhinefield Ride , incorporating Bolderwood and visiting the stunning Rhinefield inclosure - 1 Pub
The Villages, Views & Vales, 15 miles, entirely on quiet leafy lanes for those that prefer smooth tarmac and passing 1 Tea Room and 4 Pubs
The Royal Oak ride, the most challenging of them all at 32 miles and visiting the most comprehensively beautiful areas of the western New Forest. - 5 Pubs
