The Green Agenda

Always at the top of our agenda is the green issue and continuing to encourage responsible tourism through communicating the correct message.

The New Forest is an award winning green destination (Beacon Status) and we want to ensure that this message of preservation, while enjoying is throughout our media.

On the main newforest.co.uk website you will see signs of green regularly including information for the visitor and the industry.

We are also currently in the process of designing a completely green website, which will be online by the end of August. The website will be hosted on www.thenewforest.co.uk/greenforest.html.

We heavily promote the Green Tourism Business Scheme along with the Greenleaf Tourism Scheme on all of our accommodation pages and under the Latest News.

More Green messages will appear on our site every day. We want the visitor to see at least one message on every page, a large task but an essential one.
