thenewforest.co.uk has a wealth of information, over 200 pages, partly live dynamic information and partly static long term. The dynamic aspects ensure that the most date sensitive information never appears outdated and is constantly added to.

Our accommodation pages provide the only dedicated New Forest booking service with availability constantly true.

The Events section and Whats On are the most comprehensive anywhere and the most used by all markets. Searched enable defined results without the need to trawl. The dynamic information is updated by both industry and Visitor Information Centre staff. Training of the industry occurs regularly, free.

The main websitehas a number of special interest micro sites, that are branded in their own particular way, however still hosted under the same domain name. They provide visitors who have a special interest a defined look and feel, fulfilling their needs and still contained within the main New Forest brand. These include: Equestrian, Local Produce, Green Forest, are all currently live and we will be expanding the list to cover: Attractions, Weddings, foreign language, Cycling & walking in the next month and further plans to increase the number of special interest sites.

Static Pages – The information on these pages is not “static” per se, they do not however automatically update. These pages are managed by two content editors and the information is supplied by numerous sources. Good examples of these pages include: Access information, Visitor Information Centres, Latest News, Car Free.

The local industry is catered for through our partner website New Forest Tourism Association which we have direct access to and update regularly. We have a page on our site dedicated to partners with a description of our working relationship and a link to each website.

Newsletters – direct contact with visitors and partners is essential in the promotion of our brand and communication of our key messages. Every month we email our individual databases with key information. The databases are compiled through our newsletter sign up page and the brochure order page enabling us to segment our markets and supply them with regular, relevant and up to date information. Our industry and community are also contacted through email with relevant news on our progress and initiatives, every email encourages feedback with a direct contact address.

All website promotion and activity is planned in accordance with our marketing and business plans, these are formulated with the assistance of the Little Acorns (NFTA) marketing committee
