A key objective is to provide the largest resource of quality, current information that is relevant to our ever expanding markets.
We aim to increase our customer base, drive more business to advertisers, continually lower the cost of advertising, provide up to date (and never out of date) information and ensure that this is continuously consumer focussed.
We have the best accommodation booking service for the area, we aim to keep it that way.
As a destination we have a vast and varied consumer base. From short breaks to longer stays to activity breaks and relaxation we are in the enviable position of having regular repeat business, environmentally focussed visitors, an excellent association with the industry, community and regular contact with visitors, not only through the website but also the three Visitor Information Centres and a host of publications.
There are of course segments within our main consumer base, primarily being; Activity (cycling, walking, equestrian etc), family based activity, speciality breaks (spa, luxury).
Research shows that our main visitors are domestic and the majority of whom are situated in London (Google Analytics/ Faststats). We are however able to see the numbers who visit from every country and monitor their development. Approximately 97% of visitors are based in English speaking countries.
