With acres of exceptional woodland and open heaths as our front garden, easy access to all New Forest attractions and just a short drive to the South Coast with its many beautiful beaches and seaside villages, you can enjoy walking, cycling, bird watching, horse riding, sailing, golf and other activities; golf courses, equestrian centres, spa and swimming pools are all short distance from Rufus House Cottages.

Just a short stroll from Rufus House Cottages is the centre of Lyndhurst village, where you will find the New Forest Museum, Visitor Information Centre and an excellent variety of shops, cafes and restaurants.

From Junction 2 or 3 M27:
Follow signs for A35 Lyndhurst. After leaving Ashurst village proceed for approximately 3 miles, Rufus House is situated on the right hand side of the road opposite open woodland.

By train:
Ashurst New Forest station is well served by direct train services from London Waterloo (90 minutes). There is a good bus service from Ashurst, it will take only 5 minutes to the bus stop infront of Rufus House.
