Alderholt Mill is a fully restored working water mill producing wholemeal flour. Situated on the western outskirts of the New Forest with Salisbury, Bournemouth and The Dorset Coast just a short ride away. We offer two self-catering cottages Millers End and Mid-Mill.

Millers End (sleeps 2 only) is all on the ground floor and was originally part of the Millers cottage It has an abundance of old worlde charm,  lots of lovely oak beans throughout and a cosy atmosphere. It offers one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom ( shower over the bath)  The good sized sitting room is nicely furnished with sofa and armchairs, coffee table, large Television with DVD, CD/Radio player and a large fireplace with log burning stove (electric) The kitchen  has an electric stove, fridge/freezer and microwave and all the usual and necessary equipment  All linen and hot water requirements are included in the rental other electrics are by £1.00 coin meter

Outside there is a large garden to enjoy with natural water features and an abundance of wildlife, kingfishers, erets and moorhens are frequent visitors come and watch the dragonflies dancing round the pond on a summers evening while enjoying a glass of your favourite tipple, There is plenty of seating area placed all round the garden so just follow the sun  A BBQ is available for alfresco dinning   Private fishing available on site Also plenty of off street parking on our private carpark opposite the Mill

The Mill itself is open at weekends for cream teas and milling demonstrations 2pm - 6pm Easter until August Bank Holiday

Last but not least you are assured a really warm welcome    Come and enjoy all that the New Forest and surrounding area has to offer

Mid-Mill (sleeps 2 only)  This is also a ground floor cottage and is the link building between the old Mill and the main house.  It offers one double bedroom (super king bed or 2 x 3ft singles) with a large picture window looking out over the garden with its wild life pond etc the bathroom is a good size with shower over the bath  The sitting room is furnished with sofa and armchair, bookcase, (books and local information supplied) A large Television with DVD player again plenty of DVD's to choose from.  The fireplace has an log burning stove (electric) There is a dining area within this room The galley kitchen is equpped with electric stove, fridge with ice box and a Microwave plus all the usual everyday requirements   The rear garden can be accessed from the kitchen passing over the little bridge with the large 12ft water wheel on the left  The wheel is only operational when milling takes place so the gentle noise of running water will not cause a disturbance
