Outside glamping tent at Arniss Bell Tents in the New Forest

After a successful launch in 2020 our glamping offer has relocated to a stunning new paddock – still within the village of Godshill and with direct access to The New Forest. The small paddock is at the bottom of a winding lane and behind Arniss Farmhouse holiday let. The fully equipped Touareg Bell Tents are the perfect size for a luxury family camping holiday or for a couple who want luxury and lots of space. Like a traditional bell tent there’s loads of headroom but being rectangular it allows for maximum use of floor space for all to enjoy a comfortable stay.

A section of the gently sloping paddock situated behind the farmhouse offers 6 pre-erected tents on levelled out pitches. Wake up to stunning views of the New Forest, gaze at the wild deer in the surrounding fields and listen to the whinnies of the horses from the equestrian centre located next door. The paddock offers 2 unisex showers with hooks, bench and changing area, 2 poratloo style flushing toilets, a kitchen marquee with sink and hot water for dish washing, a fridge/freezer, mobile phone charging and sockets for hair drying. For guests that prefer a proper flushing toilet there is a single unisex toilet in the courtyard a few steps from the paddock.

The fully equipped tents offer a splash of luxury with a contemporary feel. This includes a double bed with mattress complete with bedding and linen, three single camp beds with mattress toppers, sleeping bags, liners, pillows and blanket. Rugs, cushions, lighting, side tables and a fully equipped kitchen work station (with cool box and ice packs) completes the picture. A welcome pack includes tea, coffee, milk, sugar and a few other surprises.

So, if you want the experience of camping without the hassle, then Arniss Bell Tents are for you.

Your Arniss Bell Tent hosts are Sarah & Shaun and Richard (aka Dad who lives in the annex next door). Shaun is also proud owner of the famous Tuk Tuk’s. Be picked up directly from your pitch and see the New Forest in a unique and fun way with tours tailored to your requirements.

Charcoal and wood are available to buy for the fire pit that is supplied with your bell tent and there is plenty of tourist information leaflets not to mention years of local knowledge to help you get the most out of your stay in the New Forest.

Access to the New Forest is straight from the gate via a network of footpaths (as is the ‘Fighting Cocks’ Pub). The pub has fine ales and tasty food – here you will be able to see the donkeys, ponies and cattle that freely roam.

Arniss Bell Tents is also just a 10 minute walk away from the world-famous Sandy Balls Holiday Village where fantastic facilities are available (charges may apply). Here you can hire bikes and explore the forest on the well marked out cycle routes,

Arniss Bell Tents normally opens for 28 days in August, but 2021 season has been extended and we are pleased to offer availability during the May half term week and for the whole of the summer school holidays in July and August. Week stays are heavily discounted otherwise a minimum of 3 nights is required.
