Forester's & Keeper's Cottages: WE ARE READY TO GO and plan to re-open from 12 July 2020. At present, we still have the week from Wednesday 15 July, available in Keeper's Cottage and, availability in both cottages during September, October and the Autumn months. We are keeping a minimum 3 day gap between bookings as well as maintaining strict cleaning protocols to Covid-19 standards. We are very proud to hold the award of 100% for 2019/2020 cleanliness. We are also taking bookings for 2021, prices will remain as this year.
Both detached cottages are located at Cottage Farm, our family home with our own horses, hens and a variety of visiting wildlife and birds. Our location is just a walk or cycle into Moors Valley Country Park / Ringwood Forest offering a wide variety of activities for visitors of all ages. With easy access into the New Forest National Park both north and south areas and to the southern beaches: The beautiful Hengistbury Head, Christchurch and the golden sands of Southborne and Bournemouth. There are events and pursuits to suit everyone.
Both cottages are detached, 4 5 star rated by Visit England, very individual, beautifully maintained and equipped to a high standard. Both have two bedrooms, en-suites, full gas central heating, ground floor rooms / accommodation (no stairs), digital TV's in the bedrooms as well as in the living areas. Each cottage has open plan living with home entertainments, free Wi-Fi, fitted kitchens with modern appliances including dishwasher, washer-dryer and fridge-freezer. Both have furnished patio/gardens with BBQ offering an ideal place for alfresco dining and relaxation. Forester's Cottage has quality, charm and character with the original 200 year old cob walling and vaulted timber ceilings. Ground floor rooms / accommodation (no stairs). Full gas central heating offers a warm welcome all year round. There are two bedrooms, a king-size double and a twin bedroom each with quality floral spreads and crisp white linens, digital TV and en-suite shower rooms with wc., hand basin and shallow step into the shower cubicle. The modern kitchen is well equipped and maintained, including a dishwasher, fitted hob and electric fan oven, microwave, washer-dryer and fridge-freezer. Comfy open-plan living with two and three seater leather sofas and pouffe, country pine dining and complimentary soft furnishings, flat screen Sony TV, wifi, dvd player, books and games offer at home entertainment. Double aspect views over the gardens to the fields and stables with our own horses and ponies. One shallow threshold leads out to the lawned garden and furnished patio with table, four chairs and a BBQ, offering a lovely setting to dine alfresco and relax, surrounded with trees and flowers. Keeper's Cottage has views across our own grazing fields - often the place to see deer, foxes, a variety of birds and other wildlife. The accommodation is bungalow style, ground floor accommodation without stairs. Full gas central heating offers a warm welcome all year round.The modern open plan living has two and three seater soft leather reclining sofas, oak dining table and leather seating. Smart TV, dvd player, books and free wi-fi provided by BT home hub.The fitted kitchen is well equipped including a dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge-freezer, fan oven, gas hob and a microwave. There are two bedrooms, each with fitted furnishings and TV. The master bedroom has a super-kingsize double bed and an en-suite shower room with shallow step in shower cubicle, hand-basin and WC. The large twin bedroom has space for a third full size single bed if required. A fifth person supplement of £10 per night would be payable for the extra bed. Each bedroom has complimentary soft furnishings and crisp white linens are provided with beds many ready for your arrival. Keeper's also has a family bathroom: a bath with shower over, hand-basin and WC. The entrance leads out with one small step to the patio garden which is furnished with a table, six chairs and a BBQ, offering an ideal place for dining alfresco and relaxation, often with the most beautiful sunsets. Keeper's sleeps 4/5 +cot.
Inclusive rental: Gas central heating, electricity, linen, towels and free wi-fi are all included in the rental price, with beds freshly made for your arrival. We offer on-line booking via our website: www.foresterscottages.co.uk we do not charge booking fees, vat, meters or a security deposit.
The locality, between forest, open countryside and the coast, offers excellent cycling, walking, horse riding, water-sports, forest adventure play for a variety of ages, playground, tree-top trail and Go-Ape forest zip wire at Moors Valley Country Park. A wealth of activities, special sites and events are available.
An abundance of good food is on offer from farmers markets, organic outlets, local shops, pubs, restaurants and beach bistros. We provide our visitors with the Go New Forest card which carries discounts from participating businesses around the New Forest.
Forester's & Keeper's Cottages are open all year. Well behaved dogs, pets and horses welcome by arrangement.

Mainline train from London Waterloo to Brockenhurst on the New Forest or to Bournemouth. National Express Coach service to Ringwood. Taxi would be required from the train station or bus to Forester's & Keeper's Cottages at Cottage Farm. Local buses are available hourly to Ringwood and Bournemouth. The farm is within 25 minute walk to Moors Valley Country Park.
