Kings Hyde Cottage is nestled in a quiet, ideal setting where you can walk down the drive and within a minute you are walking down a lane directly into the Open Forest (wellies are required in the wetter months) walking with the local wildlife of ponies, donkeys, cattle and deer. From here you can walk to The Hare and Hounds Pub,The Filly Inn and the Hobler pub.
Kings Hyde Cottage provides an ideal base being only a couple of miles from the Georgian Sailing town of Lymington, with it’s Saturday market, Marinas, supermarket, museum, pubs and fine dining establishments. Sway village, is 2 miles away with an amazing butcher, post office, general store and railway station with direct links to Waterloo Station. The many activities and attractions the New Forest National Park offers are all within a short distance of the cottage. The many walking and cycling paths are excellent for the outdoor enthusiasts.
A little further, are the beautiful beaches along the south coast. You can wander the Solent Way from Lymington to Keyhaven along the sea wall, an area of international importance for the large numbersof breeding, feeding and roosting birds that it supports and admire the views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. Or if you fancy venturing a little further Bournemouth, Southampton and Winchester are all within easy reach by car or train.
The New Forest is a truly stunning area, where there are so many exhilarating and more relaxing activities and attractions that I cannot list them all in this space. The cottage is well stocked with maps and information about the many activities in the area and I am always willing to help with ideas.
Kings Hyde Cottage is ideally located between countryside and coast.
