About

Meerut’s rural forest hideaway is close to the centre of the picturesque village of Brockenhurst - just a two-minute walk from local village shops, five minutes from the open forest and up to ten minutes stroll from the wide variety of eateries Brockenhurst has to offer. The train station with its quick rail links to London is close too, although Pauline and Mike will happily collect you from the station if you prefer. They have lived in the forest all of their lives and possess a wealth of local knowledge of walking and cycling routes, or of the many places to visit in the New Forest or along the Solent coastline.

Breakfast served on individual tables includes many locally-sourced products with vegetarian and gluten-free options. Begin your breakfast at our buffet table with its large selection of cereals, fruit juices, yoghurts and fruit. Continue with a full English breakfast (New Forest sausages, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans and a choice from four types of eggs), or a continental breakfast (freshly baked croissants, white/brown rolls and a tray of cold meats and cheeses). Complete your breakfast with toast, a pot of tea from a wide Twinings range, or a cafetiere of Winchester coffee, or Taylors decaffeinated coffee.

Overlooking our large, peaceful garden are the three guest rooms which have their own private entrances from a patio at the rear of the house. All rooms are comfortably furnished with quality beds, pine furniture, free wi-fi, wall-mounted televisions, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers and individually controlled radiators. Two rooms have king-size beds and en-suite shower rooms, and the third room has a double bed and its own private bathroom with dressing gowns provided. Shower/bathrooms are equipped with soft, cosy towels and in the garden are tables and chairs, a summerhouse with decked areas, a gas barbecue and a utility room equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave with grill, cutlery, crockery, wine glasses, picnic rugs and freezer bags for guest use. There is also a large lockable bicycle store.

You will love the comfort and convenience a stay with us at Meerut will offer you. In the words of our guests .......

  - 'Meerut is a haven in the middle of the village'

- Very welcoming - we had more than we needed. Impressive facilities in a lovely place

- Lovely house, made to feel very welcome, perfect hosts and a fantastic breakfast, we'll be back again.

- Very attentive and relaxed hosting, along with a very generous and thorough offering of extras. The utility room is an excellent idea, and I was very thoughtfully lent wellies and socks!

- An excellent breakfast, with great ingredients, and having the garden door as your own 'front door' adds a bit of privacy and is a practical touch.

- We had a truly wonderful stay at Meerut. Pauline and Mike were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was spacious and really rather luxurious and breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend.

Very friendly couple. Enthusiastic and informative. Loved the welcome by Pauline and the trays of drinks bought to our room as part of the welcome. Ample food all cooked well.

- Really great experience. Easy location, cosy room and excellent hosts! Would recommend in a heartbeat.

- Thanks for a wonderful stay. We stayed in a room without an en-suite but I would happily stay in the same room again. Everything clean & fresh, superb breakfast. Very warm welcome from Mike and Pauline including pot of tea and biscuits when we arrived. Will definitely be staying again.
