Milford Croft

Milford Croft sleeps six guests and is a modern self catering bungalow, 5 Star quality assessed by VisitEngland and given their gold award. In an enviable position, Milford Croft is positioned approximately one hundred yards from the beach and provides a superb seaside retreat for friends and family where you can enjoy wonderful sea views towards the Needles on the Isle of Wight and Christchurch Bay. Guests have complimentary use of our nearby beach hut.

The village of Milford on Sea is within easy walking distance of Milford Croft (just ten minutes) and sits on the edge of the New Forest National Park, offering guests the best of both worlds - days exploring the forest and lazy days on the beach. Whilst being a  small village Milford  has much to offer with its pubs, restaurants, a fishmonger, deli, boutique shops and a very good fish and chip shop. The village is popular with its shingle beach and also for walkers with cliff-top walks to the west and across salt-flats or to Hurst Castle and nature reserves to the east allowing you to enjoy the seascape and explore the area by foot.

A dog will be welcomed – subject to our ‘dog policy’ a copy of which will be emailed on request. There are four pubs in the village, all are dog friendly and will permit pets into at least one area where food is served.

Milford Croft provides an ideal base for enjoying the areas many attractions. Take a trip to Lymington with its quaint quayside, shops, pubs and weekly market or take a boat trip to the Isle of Wight, ot the leisurely way to Hurst Castle. Bournemouthand Southampton are also within easy reach by car and the New Forest offers endless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts with miles of cycle tracks, forest walks  and golfing opportunities. In the summer season, you can hop on the New Forest Tour bus that stops near to the end of the drive for a non-energetic way to take in the Forest’s wonderful sights.

    Map & Directions

    Road Directions

From the A337 Lymington to Christchurch road turn onto the B5058 into Milford on Sea, turn left immeditely before the village green, left then right across the staggered cross roads into Sea Road. At 'T' junction by The Needles Eye cafe, turn right into Hurst Road, our property is on the right opposite along a driveway opposite the bowling club's pavilion. Milford croft is the first  bungalow on the right.

    Public Transport Directions

There are trains to Lymington or (with a better service) to New Milton (either are c 4.4miles, 7Kms distant) plus a National express bus service from London. A local bus service to Lymington or Bournemouth with connections beyond also runs through the village.

There's an open top tourist bus service in the high season and tickets give unlimited travel for one or three days across three routes covering most of The New Forest. The Blue Route has a stop close to the end of our driveway.
