Situated on the northern edge of the New Forest, Ocknell is a peaceful site located on an undisturbed expanse of stunning heathland. Consisting of a mix of open clearings and secluded nooks among the trees, this picturesque site offers a true back-to-nature experience, with wild ponies roaming freely around the area. There are good grass and hardstanding pitches available, as well as shelter for motorhomes and caravans. The site is also just a mile from our Longbeech Camping in the Forest site. Ocknell has 280 pitches, with toilets, washbasins and dishwashing facilities but no showers. The nearby village of Bramshaw offers a convenient local shop, while a pleasant short cycle ride will take you to the deer viewing platform at Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary as well as deep into the heart of the New Forest. The small village of Fritham is a short drive away, and the lovely cathedral city of Salisbury is just 16 miles away.
