About

This extraordinary beach cottage is positioned at the end of a long isolated track through private woodland where it sits snugged down right on the edge of a wild and varied beach. Sand, pebbles, mud flats and salt marsh are framed by ancient oaks to make an unbeatable tapestry and views – this is where the New Forest meets The Solent.

In the eighteenth century the house was an inn “Famous for Selling Good Brandy” A clear indication that it benefitted from this wild and inaccessible stretch of coastline where smugglers gained access to the shore up the channel known as The Pitts Deep.

Staying here is a first class treat. It’s styled and produced like a boutique hotel and nothing has been missed out. It’s hard to describe arriving here without using too many superlatives, but everyone I’ve ever taken down here, without exception, is absolutely delighted with this particularly special place.

The sea is metres from your door here. Romantics will love the broad views; passing yachts, local fishermen, migrating birds as well as the wild ponies and cattle who roam the National Park.

New owners have renovated it inside and out with exceptional taste and style and it’s recently been noted in The Times, The London Evening Standard and The Guardian.

Pitts Deep really is a place to unwind, to explore and to reconnect with a slower life beside the sea.
