Setthorns Caravan & Camping Site

About

At Setthorns Camping in the Forest site you can pitch among the pines and oaks of the beautiful New Forest. There’s an abundance of wildlife, with local ponies wandering around and maybe even a deer or two, so if you’re looking to get back to nature on a traditional camping holiday then this is the spot for you. The campsite has no toilets or showers but pitches with electric are available, and all are secluded and private so you can really make the most of the peace and tranquillity of the surroundings. Please note that there are no shower or toilet facilities so it is essential that you bring your own chemical toilet. Lots of wildlife takes advantage of this traditional site’s quiet atmosphere, and campers are often treated to visits by free roaming ponies and deer that wander among the grand oak and pine woodland of the forest. Walkers are well catered for at Setthorns, with many routes setting off directly from the site. The nearest local village is Sway, just 1.5 miles away and containing a Londis store ideal for your essentials. A little further afield, Brockenhurst is three miles away and offers a number of shops including a Tesco Express. There are lots of great days out in the area, including Beaulieu, Burley and Paultons Theme Park. Owners of very large units are advised to call the site before booking.
