Lyndhurst has been the capital of New Forest since the time of William the Conqueror. With easy access to Southampton and Fawley area, many business clients return on a regular bases. We are very well located for great pubs, tea/coffee houses and popular restaurants, all walking distance from the house.
Walking, cycling, bird watching, horse riding, sailing, golf, archery, kayaking and canoeing; golf courses, equestrian centres, spa and swimming pools are all short distance.
Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary and around the area is a great place to watch wild deer and explore forest walk. Whilst, Lime Wood hotel and its beautiful Herb House spa is within a walking distance from the house via Pondhead Inclosure.
The Rufus House offers its unique Mindfulness Retreat and effective Stress Reduction Programme in both English and Japanese languages. It is a safe environment on your personal retreat to practice meditation, mindful Prāna Yoga, breathing exercises and participating CBT and Mindfulness sessions, while staying this lovely house in the New Forest National Park, Hampshire.

From London, take M3 West, after Winchester follow M27 West. M27 Junction 2 follow signs for Beaulieu then A35 Lyndhurst. After leaving Ashurst village proceed for approximately 3 miles, Rufus House is situated on the right hand side of the road opposite open woodland.
Both Ashurst New Forest station and Brockenhurst station are well served by direct train services from London Waterloo (90 Minutes) www.nationalrail.co.uk
Bus services from Ashurst (A35) are limited in the evening and weekends. Taxis are available from Brockenhurst station.

Our check-out time is 10.30am. Subject to the room's availability, late check-out could be arranged. Until 11:30am, it is an additional cost of £10. Until 12:30pm the additional cost is £20.00. Please advise us on your arrival. We are happy to store bags for those traveling by train.
