Things to Do in Burley

The village of Burley is made famous by its history of witchcraft. Come and explore the village centre and you can find a variety of shops which make reference to this to this day.

As well as gift shops, tea rooms and the ever-tempting Burley Fudge Shop, there’s a selection of activities you can do on a visit to Burley.

Take to the forest

Take to the track of the disused railway for an enjoyable off-road cycle from Burley some nearby tea rooms. Bikes can be hired in the centre of Burley at New Forest Cycling, where you will find a range of bicycles available including mountain bikes, hybrid, tandem bikes and even dog trailers so your pooch can come along for the journey.

If you fancy walking in the area then be sure to check out the Burley Food Trail. Combine walking in the area with some pit stops for some tasty treats. Burley Fudge Shop and New Forest Cider are just two of the places you could stop off at along the way.

Spot some of the New Forest’s deer with New Forest Deer Safari which offers a 30-minute tractor/trailer ride on Sundays during school holidays through Burley Park. Here, you get the opportunity to spot the rare and elusive red deer and the occasional fallow deer.

Or enjoy a different means of transport from Burley and along the roads surrounding this beautiful village on a horse drawn carriage ride with Burley Wagon Rides!
