Easter Lunch in the New Forest

There is nothing better than a traditional Easter roast lunch and what better place to indulge than in the New Forest? We have award-winning restaurants through to cosy, country pubs and we will be sure to provide you with delicious feast and an egg-cellent time!

Many of our pubs and restaurants take pride in serving local produce. Be sure to check out those that have been awarded the New Forest Marque, an indicator that they use local suppliers. You may even be able to try out some of our locally sourced venison or pannage pork.

Once you are suitably filled, you can walk out the door and enjoy a peaceful walk across the forest, an ideal way to burn off any excesses! Take in the beautiful wildlife and nature that is surrounding you, which is especially beautiful at springtime with the arrival of the New Forest pony foals and other newly-born animals. Many of our pubs and restaurants can be found right in the heart of the countryside, ideal for a pre- or post-meal countryside walk.

Alternative places to enjoy an Easter meal out

If you fancy something a bit less traditional, luxuriate into an Easter-themed afternoon tea at one of our hotels or tea rooms.

Or perhaps hop to one of our many cafes or tearooms and enjoy a hearty Full English Breakfast or a slice of cake and a good old cup of tea!

Or break from tradition and head to one of our seaside towns or villages such as LymingtonBarton on SeaMilford on Sea or Hythe and embark on an English tradition of a different kind, fish and chips!

Catering for yourself this Easter

Cooking at home or staying in one of our self-catering properties? Make sure you head to one of our farm shops and purchase some of our amazing local produce to rustle up your perfect Easter meal. You will find plenty of ingredients for what you need from fresh meat, locally-grown vegetables and home-made cakes and desserts. Wash it down with some of our local ales, wines or juices.

Our regular markets at Lymington, Hythe, New Milton and Ringwood are also well worth stopping by at and have several stalls where you can pick up produce for your Easter meal.
