On Saturday 13th August – after three no-show years - Ellingham Show will be back in the beautiful grounds of Somerley House, near Ringwood in Hampshire. Run entirely by volunteers, the show is in its 75th anniversary year.

Show Chairman, Steve Thompson says that people keep asking him when Ellingham is coming back. “Well, I am delighted to say, it’s time to make a BIG note in your diaries for August 13th. Don’t miss one of the summer’s best-loved, local shows. Opening hours are 9am to 5pm. Booking is easier this year too. The website has been updated to include online booking, and as ever, sales both online and on the gate go towards supporting local charities. So, even if your dog doesn't succeed in the scurry, the whole community wins.”

Ellingham is relaxed and fun, with something for all the family.  The traditional programme of events awaits: from horses and donkeys to cattle and sheep in the Livestock Show; from the competitive delights of the horticulture marquee and the crafts ‘Arcade’, to Heavy Horses and the Donkey Show; from classic cars and motor cycles, to vintage farm machinery and tractors; from browsing and shopping, to relaxing with a cup of tea or a pint of Hall and Woodhouse’s finest. And, not to be missed, the Fancy Dress competition for four-legged competitors and their human companions.

Visitors will also be able to get closer to our Horse Show, where there is more emphasis on fun and a whole ring dedicated to demonstrations and children’s classes.

We're excited to see old friends again, and hopefully make some new ones. See you there?”
