About

Velvet Pictures Ltd is a creative media consultancy and film production company based in Lymington, run by producer Claire Cottrell and writer/director Keith English.

Founded in 2002, our award-winning work is extensive, with considerable experience in: advertising, corporate promotion, training, online content, social media, live events and TV drama. Velvet Pictures also develops short and feature length films. Keith English recently directed the movie ’The More You Ignore Me’, a British comedy family drama written by Jo Brand and starring Sheridan Smith.

Our projects are distinctive – achieving strong, emotional contact with an audience. We believe that to communicate with impact, the message must be memorable and engaging – requiring drama, humour, wonder…storytelling is key.

If you need advice and creative solutions for your business promotions and events, or a full production (big or small) please get in touch. We can help tell the story of your business…

Velvet Pictures can also act as an agency for all sorts of projects through creative brainstorming, writing and developing ideas. We aim to make budgets work for clients as efficiently as possible – utilising local talent and services when needed, as well as having strong links with London facilities.

Claire and Keith are both on the steering committee of Film: New Forest, an initiative to encourage more filming in the New Forest and increase commerce for the area.
