While production of Bombay Sapphire gin continues as normal, the Bombay Sapphire Distillery is currently closed with all tours and events being cancelled as well as the shop, bar and café being closed. Based at Laverstoke Mill in rural Hampshire, just 15 miles from Winchester and 10 miles from Basingstoke, the Bombay Sapphire Distillery is in a conservation area with over 1000 years of history. The distillery showcases the care, skill and artistry behind every drop of Bombay Sapphire, and allows you to discover the flavours of the botanicals which make Bombay Sapphire gin so unique.
Learn about the ten botanicals which make Bombay Sapphire so exquisite in the iconic glasshouses designed by Thomas Heatherwick. Chart hundreds of years of Laverstoke Mill’s illustrious history, married with the fascinating heritage of gin and Bombay Sapphire. Watch the production of gin behind the scenes in the Dakin Still House, and uncover the secrets of Bombay Sapphire’s unique vapour infusion distillation process. Discover your personal taste profile in our Botanical Dry Room and use your profile to order a complimentary cocktail from the Mill Bar suited to your tastes.
The distillery runs Discovery Experiences and Gin Cocktail Masterclasses. All experiences must be booked online in advance.
Laverstoke Mill is situated between Overton and Whitchurch on the B3400 (London Road) in Laverstoke. If your Sat Nav does not recognise the postcode above then please type in RG28 7PH but park in the main distillery car park next to the Entrance. Drivers don’t miss out at the Bombay Sapphire Distillery. If preferred drivers can enjoy a complimentary soft drink in the Mill Bar and then pick up a complimentary takeaway pack from the Gin Shop. Please plan your trip in advance and enjoy Bombay Sapphire Gin responsibly.
The closest train stations to the distillery are Overton or Whitchurch which are serviced by trains originating from London Waterloo and Salisbury.
If you need to get a taxi from the station to the distillery, we recommend booking in advance as due to the rural locations of the nearby stations, there are no taxi ranks or taxis waiting.
From Overton station the distillery is a 2.5-mile walk along London Road in the direction of Whitchurch.
The 76 bus from Basingstoke or Andover stops right outside the distillery.
