Family Friendly Walking Routes

Cycling in the New Forest is ideal for families wanting safe off-road and gentle cycle routes, where they can experience cycle tracks through the open heathland and sheltered woods.

During the summer months you can jump on the New Forest Tour to link in with your walking routes to really get around and see more - and more importantly give any little legs a rest.

Below are a few routes that are family friendly.

Beaulieu to buckler's hard

One of the most popular routes for families is from beautiful Beaulieu to the historic Buckler’s Hard.

This walk roughly follows the route of the wildlife rich Beaulieu River and finishes at the historic shipbuilding village of Bucklers Hard.
