Autumn Migration Walk

About

Covering the Lymington-Keyhaven Marshes, this weekly walk will focus on all aspects of autumn migration. From passage seabirds and waders, through to refuelling warblers, pipits and chats, to visible migration of passage finches, wagtails and buntings. We will adapt each weekly visit around the forecast to ensure we get the most out of the conditions. We will look at how birds are using the environment, their behaviour, calls and recording techniques.
Each walk will last 2-3 hours with options to stay longer if conditions are good. Meeting point will be confirmed 48-72 hours ahead of the walk based on the weather forecast to ensure we maximise our potential to be in the right place at the right time!
