We are running our popular Stand Up Paddle Boarding Event at Hurst Castle on

Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th of May 2019.

In association with Hurst Marine and Starboard SUP UK.

We are offering a range of activities to suit everyone from

novice to seasoned paddler!

Tickets DO NOT include entry to Hurst Castle.

If you wish to use the castle's toilets or cafe during the day

you will need to pay an entry fee on the day.

Ryan James Paddle Coaching Clinic

Saturday 11am


A 2.5 hour master class session for up to 10 people with the UK's top male paddler!

Included in this session

1. Video analysis of paddling stroke un-coached.
2. Advanced stroke technique training (coaching on set-up, entry, catch, power phase, exit, recovery aspects. Body position and movement pattern drills)
3. On water absorption of key points with queuing
4. Re-film of paddle stroke with before and after analysis
- Clips available online for 1 month
- Advisory points added to the clips
- Email support for 4 weeks post session
5. Technique, Rhythm (stroke cadance), relaxation coaching.
6. Group Q&A session for 30-40 mins afterwards on the land.

You will need your own board and pre-booking is essential.

We will be running a SUP race from Hurst Castle around Keyhaven on the Sunday morning.

You will need your own board.

We will have a Race Class and All Round Class for Men and Ladies.

Everyone's welcome!

Entry will include launching fee's from Keyhaven

Unlimited Starboard Demo's after the race

Race Brief will be 11am for a 11:30 Start.

Launch from Keyhaven or the cut bridge and paddle across to Hurst Castle.

We may still have sessions available on the day to purchase for any last minute bookings.

All activities are pre-booked at set times when purchasing your tickets.

Please make sure you arrive with plenty of time before your session is due.


You will need to wear clothing you don't mind getting wet and

bring a change of clothes for afterwards.



Please walk or paddle your way over for your session or purchase a ferry ticket option.

BBQ Ticket


We will be having a BBQ run by Jesse from Hurst on the Hill with the following options:

Hot dog/onions/vinegar coleslaw (local butchers award winning sausages)

Chicken thigh/pita/vinegar coleslaw/sriracha mayo

Halloumi cheese/pita/vinegar coleslaw/sriracha mayo

Soft drinks available are Coke zero, sprite zero & still water.

We can cater for gluten free as long as we know before hand.

But with the logistics wont be able to do anything when at the castle if we don't know.

Dairy free isn't an issue on the chicken and hot dog.

All the garnishes are dairy free.

Please select the option you would like when purchasing the BBQ Ticket.

You will need to bring the e-ticket with you on the day.
