Italian for Beginners

About

The class introduces students to the basics of everyday Italian.

Students learn common greetings, how to describe places and their location, the Italian alphabet and fundamentals of pronunciation.

The course will cover the following areas in a very simple way:

Using Basic Services
Shopping
Food and drink
Health & Welfare
Basic Travelling

Tourist Information
Buying tickets
Booking accommodation

The sessions will involve pair work, group work, games, listening, speaking, reading and writing all in a relaxed and confidence building atmosphere. You will be given a small amount of homework to consolidate your learning.

This course is aimed at absolute beginners in Italian who want to acquire a basic knowledge of the language in order to communicate in certain practical situations. Students will learn and practice fundamental language skills, helping them develop basic communication, coupled with a secure understanding of the essentials of life in this country.
