About

The New Forest Walking Festival boasts dozens of guided walks led by knowledgeable local experts that will help you discover more about the wonderful history, heritage and wildlife of the New Forest.

The 2018 Festival saw 1,600 people enjoy over 75 fantastic guided family strolls, history hikes, wildlife walks and more.

The festival takes place between 12 October and 3 November 2019, at various times and locations across the National Park - take a look at the walks on the New Forest National Park's website and book your place now on the walks that you like the look of!

To celebrate 2019 being the Year of Green Action, the New Forest Walking Festival is being extended to 3 weeks (usually being 2 weeks), to help more people discover the National Park’s amazing landscapes and wildlife.
