Wild New Forest Projects- Marcus Ward

Marcus Ward will take a look at the projects in the New Forest run by Wild New Forest and associates.
About this Event
This is an ONLINE talk brought to you by the Romsey local group of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.

The New Forest is an important place for a range of bird species, many of which are poorly understood and difficult to monitor. WNF has been working with partners to help get a better understanding of scarce breeding species including Hawfinch, Curlew, Snipe, Lesser Redpoll, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, and Wood Warbler – along with some of the more unusual inhabitants such as Pine Marten. We will run through the status of each species and provide a bit of information on how and where best to see them for yourself.
