Andrew Parry Norton
The Commoners Larder
Andrew was born and raised in The New Forest, attending local schools (and pubs!) during the 70s, Andrew spent some time working on farms in Scotland, Dorset and France to broaden his knowledge and experience, but always returning ‘home’ to the New Forest.
Andrew is married to Sarah and between them they have four children, Tom, William, Becky and Kirsty, together they run a traditional family Commoning farm with a sprinkling of modern ideas. Andrew and Sarah produce Beef, Lamb, Pork, Chicken and eggs. They are passionate about creating a high quality product with great taste and flavour.
In 2019 they launched the Commoner’s Larder, supplying produce direct from the farm to the public, Restaurants and Pubs. This really took off, and this year added complete meals in a box delivering mainly to Campsites and Holiday Chalets.
Andrew is a member of the National Farmers Union, the Commoners Defence Association and a director of the New Forest Marque. He feels strongly that with his experience a more cohesive approach can be achieved between Commoners and tourism with a mutual benefit to both.
