Local fishermen head out onto The Solent from Lymington, and nearby Mudeford, to catch fish and other seafood, in careful and low impact methods, ensuring top quality products! From cod, plaice, salmon, haddock, skate and dover sole, to lobsters and prawns, there’s so much fish and shellfish that is caught off the shores of the New Forest, that you can buy from local companies, fishmongers and shops across the New Forest, including New Forest Fish and Shellfish.
In most restaurants, pubs and cafes in the New Forest, you will find fish options across their menus, with many of them using locally caught fish. Using local fish makes these dishes even more delicious and enjoyable!
Each summer, the New Forest is home to one of the biggest and best seafood festivals in the UK, Lymington Seafood Festival!
