Markets in the New Forest
The New Forest is a haven for any market lover with plenty of bustling town markets with stalls selling everything from clothes, fruit and vegetables, gifts and local crafts to choose from.
Our regular weekly town markets take place in the following locations:
Every Tuesday between 9am-4pm on Hythe High Street. This market features around 30 different stalls including ones selling fruit and vegetables, jewellery and tasty treats such as locally made fudge.
Lymington’s market was established back in the 13th century when the town was granted a Charter. It is a popular feature on the weekly calendar and takes place each Saturday on the Georgian High Street. Expect around 90 different stalls selling lots of locally-made and artisan products. An ideal location to pick up all you need for a self-catering break in the New Forest. The market here usually operates from 8am-3.30pm.
Taking place on Station Road each Wednesday, New Milton’s market runs from 9am-4pm. It features a fishmonger, greengrocer and a butcher as well as an array of other stalls.
Ringwood's Wednesday market is located on the High Street and runs from 8am-3pm. The market here has been established for at least 780 years and still to this day draws in the locals and visitors to buy farm produce and general ware.
Pop-up and specialist markets
Celebrate local produce with the ‘Taste of the South’ market which takes place the first Saturday of every month in Hythe. Hythe also features French, Italian markets plus the Mistletoe Fayre market at various dates in the year.
You will also find regular New Forest Producer and Farmers’ markets in Ringwood to tempt your taste buds, perfect if you are here for a self-catering holiday. They take place on the last Saturday of the month between 10am-2pm at The Furlong shopping centre.
