Local Drinks
It’s not just amazing local food in the New Forest, we have loads of brilliant local producers of drinks too, from ale, cider and wine to juice and water, there’s something for everyone!
One of our most popular drink producers in the New Forest is New Forest Cider, located in Burley. Their scrumptious cider is created in the traditional way, using English apples from their own orchards. Creating a selection of real ciders, including dry, medium, sweet, plus their Kingston Black and Perry ciders too. They host an annual steam pressing weekend, which usually takes place in October, so keep an eye out for more details on this!
Another famous local drink producer is Ringwood Brewery, who create quality craft beers in the heart of Ringwood town. From popular craft and blonde ales to refreshing IPAs, you can buy their beers from their onsite store, or from many shops around the New Forest. A lot of pubs in the New Forest also sell their beers, where you can enjoy them in pub gardens or by the fire.
Other producers of beer and ale in the New Forest include Pig Beer, Vibrant Forest Brewery and nearby Flacks and Downton Breweries too.
If you’re a lover of wine, we are home to loads of lovely vineyards, where delicious wines are created. Brook Hill Vineyard is a family-run vineyard located in Brook, near Cadnam, in the New Forest. They produce delicious still rose and white wine, plus delightful sparkling wines too. Brook Hill are our Local Producer of the Month for June, you can find out even more about them here.
Other vineyards in the New Forest include Setley Ridge Vineyard and Marlings Vineyard, both located near Lymington.
For something a little stronger, lots of spirits are also produced in the New Forest too. New Forest Spirits Ltd (or WYRD), create delicious gins within the outskirts of Ringwood. Their gins include a dry gin, a damson gin and a barrel aged gin. Another amazing local gin producer is Beachcomber Gin, who are located on the outskirts of Lymington. Beachcomber Gin produce a delicious sweet gin and also a spiced rum too!
It’s not just alcoholic drinks that are produced in the New Forest, there are many tasty soft drinks produced here too. New Forest Cider don’t only producer ciders, but they also produce amazing apple juice too. New Forest Spring Water are also a popular soft drink producer here too, sourcing and bottling their natural spring water in the New Forest. They produce both still and sparkling spring water, like no other!
There are many local shops and farm shops that sell the phenomenal locally produced drinks mentioned above, and many more. You can also find lots of local drinks being served at our pubs, restaurants and cafes too. Local events are another brilliant place to try and buy locally produced drinks too, including Dogstival, Lymington Seafood Festival and local markets.
