Campsites and Caravan Parks in the New Forest

There are a number of different campsites in the New Forest where you can stay. Whether you are looking for an intimate campsite with a secluded woodland setting or a campsite with all the modern conveniences, there is an excellent variety on offer here.

If you're looking for family-friendly camping, a top place to start is by looking at the wonderful campsites that are run by Camping New Forest. This great local company looks after 10 rural campsites in the New Forest, which are dotted around the National Park. Some sites offer more basic stays, and some have electric pitches, showers, play areas and even take away options. Their campsites include Aldridge Hill, Ashurst, Denny Wood, Hollands Wood, Holmsley, Longbeech, Matley Wood, Ocknell, Roundhill and Setthorns.

Some of our smaller campsites include Red Shoot Camping Park, which is in the perfect location for walking! Red Shoot have their own local shop and a lovely pub just a couple of steps away. Another one of our smaller campsites is Harrow Wood Farm Caravan Park. Located on the outskirts of a quiet village called Bransgore, where you can find some lovely pubs and local shops.

Camp within the forest or down by the lake at Avon Tyrrell Campsite, between Bransgore and Burley. A gorgeous, un-spoilt campsite, offering a peaceful break in a natural environment. 

Another ideally located campsite is Long Meadow Campsite, which is surrounded by acres of forest, but still with quick enough access to Brockenhurst. Long Meadow offer spacious hardstanding and pitches, with or without electric. 

As well as wonderful glamping pods, Back of Beyond Touring Park is a beautiful 30 acre haven, with lakes, woodland and heathland, it makes for a great place to unwind and listen to the sounds of nature.

One of Shorefield Holiday’s sites, Lytton Lawn, also welcomes touring and camping. If you’re looking for a coastal camping trip then this is the perfect place for you, being located near to their holiday park, Shorefield Country Park, in Milford on Sea.

For enjoying stunning views of sunrise and sunset across the coast, pitch your tent at Calshot Campsite, located on Calshot Spit. 

Harry’s field is a small campsite run by campers for campers. They've created a tranquil retreat in one of the most serene corners of the New Forest with everything you would expect to see on their perfect pitch.

You can also expect to see some beautiful displays of stars at night with many of our campsites being in secluded spots that are away from light pollution. You may even have the odd New Forest pony or other animals roaming close by to where you're sleeping!
