The Easter holidays make a fantastic time to visit the New Forest. Spring will very much be on its way with the fresh greens of the leaves, the New Forest ponies wandering around with their newly-born foals and some fantastic events.

See below some of the exciting events that are due to take place here in the New Forest, including Easter egg hunts, craft activities and much more. Make sure you check back in the future as more events are being put up everyday!

Looking for Easter Activities for the whole family? Enjoy a fun-filled guided paddle with New Forest Activities, along the Beaulieu River in stable 'Canadian style' canoes. Spend time taking in the stunning scenery of the river before disembarking for an Easter egg hunt with a twist! Leave no leaf unturned as your little ones hunt for those hidden chocolate eggs along the riverside. Then, you'll enjoy another beautiful scenic paddle back to base. All participants will receive a delicious chocolate egg (even the grown-ups too!) Great for all ages, all equipment provided.

Hop into Easter Fun at Insight Activities! This Easter, make memories that last at Insight Activities in the New Forest. Join them for: Easter Archery & Axe Throwing Competitions : Test your skills and compete in a series of egg-citing challenges! Family Adventure Sessions: Combine archery, crossbows and axe throwing for an unforgettable experience!
Archery is suitable for ages 6+ and 12+ for axes and crossbows. Create lasting memories and enjoy the beautiful New Forest this Easter!

What better place to celebrate Easter than at Longdown Activity Farm, surrounded by chicks and Easter bunnies? The popular Longdown Golden Egg Hunt is back with nineteen golden eggs to find every day, PLUS one very special platinum egg! There's no clues, and they are VERY hard to find. A prize for those who are fortunate enough to find a golden egg, and an eggstra special prize awarded to the person who finds the platinum egg! (No extra charge).

Join Furzey Gardens this Easter to hunt for their colourful two-foot eggs! Each arty egg has been produced by a different talented artist – with 15 to find all across the gardens. Find all the eggs on the trail and claim your Easter egg treat at the tea rooms. This trail runs daily and is ideal for kids aged 10 and under. The trail leaflet can be collected on arrival at the gardens for a suggested donation of £2.

Hop along and join in the fun with at The Montagu Arms Hotel with their Easter trail around the hotel garden's, solve the clues and find the eggs to win your chocolate egg. Taking place on Saturday 30th March and Sunday 31st March. Free for all children, both residents and non residents. You can pick up your trail map from reception.

Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre's Easter Activity Trail is back for 2024! Join them on 31st March for just £10 per participating child with non-participating adults going free! You can expect to enjoy climbing, archery, problem solving, challenge course, bushcraft, pioneering, self-guided activities, outdoor crafts, plus face painter, raffle and an Easter treat included! 

Spring along to St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery for some Spring inspired creations, from blooming flowers and trees to rain showers and rainbows. Using a variety of art materials, take home your creations to welcome the warmer weather.

At this time of year the Exbury bunnies get very excited as the flowers start to open all around. They are known to “borrow” flowers to decorate their burrows, so the gardeners have to use carrot kiosks to distract them! Can you help them check that they are all topped up and ready for action? Once you have completed your trail sheet, an egg-cellent prize awaits!

Join Hurst Castle for an A-MAZE-ing Easter adventure! Have a go at identifying the wildlife that naturally inhabits their beautiful location when you descend deep into our basement, solving clues to help you escape from our Wildlife Maze! After that sit back and get creative with their arts & crafts activities, designed to keep little ones entertained before exploring the castle and discovering centuries of history. With so much to see, do, and explore don't miss out on their Easter celebration this year! All the activities are included in your castle admission. Take a leisurely ferry to the castle to start your family adventure - they depart daily from Keyhaven at 10am and then approximately every 20-30 minutes. So, what are you waiting for? Join Hurst Castle for an egg-cellent time this Easter!

A visit to Marwell Zoo will be egg-stra special this Easter thanks to a host of seasonal activities including a very egg-citing visit from the Easter Bunny. Marwell's Det-egg-tive Trail will be running throughout the Easter break (Friday 29 March to Sunday 14 April) for wannabe sleuths to help find the cheeky egg thief. The colourful trail will be free on the Marwell Zoo App. Paper copies, complete with a Marwell Zoo pencil will also be available for £2.50. Help the Easter Bunny work out who the stolen eggs belong to and collect evidence to discover who is the Marwell egg thief. Enter your answer at the end for a chance to win two adult and three child memberships! Keep an eye out for hidden golden eggs around the park and scan the QR code for a chance to win an egg-cellent prize. There will be garden games, a special Easter tipi photo op, plus candy floss and fresh hot doughnuts on the hall drive. Little ones can meet the Easter Bunny and receive a special gift in the exclusive bunny den at Marwell Hall from Friday 29 March until Monday 1 April (£5 per child, full terms and conditions on the website). Plus, Marwell Zoo are celebrating the return of the super value family tickets making a trip to the zoo more affordable from 29 March, ahead of the Easter break.
