Balmer Lawn Hotel

Built originally in the mid 1800's as a hunting lodge, the Balmer Lawn is a classic Country House Hotel set in the very heart of the New Forest National Park. Undoubtedly one of the most iconic buildings in the area.

Our emphasis is on comfort and great service. The hotel's tasteful blend of the contemporary and the traditional ensures the perfect combination of old fashioned values with a modern twist.

A delightful 4 star Country House Hotel offering direct forest access, ideal for walking, cycling or just having fun in the Forest! Rooms to the front and side of the hotel have stunning views over the New Forest.

Our 54 rooms range from traditional country house to modern/contemporary, so we can suit all requirements from leisure guests, families to business travellers.

The Hotel sits in its own grounds of some 3 acres, with lovely gardens and grounds and is surrounded by the beautiful New Forest National Park on three sides. We have an extensive range of leisure facilities – 2 squash courts, tennis court, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, fully equipped gym, Finnish Sauna and spa bath - you will not be short of things to do, even if the weather is being unkind!

Good food and great service!! - combined with 2 AA rosettes for Fine Dining you will not be disappointed when dining in Beresfords.

Our Executive Chef, Chris Wheeldon and his talented team produce daily menus using fresh local produce wherever possible. You will be guaranteed an unforgettable dining experience.

Saltus Spa has a stunning view over our beautiful landscaped gardens.  Reawaken your senses with a massage or facial in one of our woodland themed rooms, then to enhance your experience, a special kind of balm awaits you in our Relaxation area.

We are thrilled to announce our new Spa partnership with Espa.
