About

Rhubarb Cottage in Lyndhurst is a very comfortable, dog friendly, modernised cottage situated at the heart of The New Forest. It is a three-bedroomed semi-detached Victorian holiday cottage, built in the early years of the 20th century and is rated as 4 star by Visit England.

Over half of our visitors have stayed at Rhubarb Cottage previously. Several families have stayed with us more that 6 times.

The cottage has been a New Forest holiday cottage since 2006. It sleeps 6 people and has gas central heating, a multi fuel log burner, a downstairs cloakroom and upstairs bathroom/toilet. The modernised kitchen leads out into the courtyard garden where you can enjoy the afternoon and evening sun. House Martins nest under the eaves and Blue Tits raise their young in nest boxes on the cottage wall. A particular feature of Rhubarb Cottage is the extra wide, shallow staircase which is ideal for our more mature visitors and a bonus for everyone else. Bed linen, towels and wifi are all provided free of charge.

The Custards is a very quiet area of Lyndhurst and is a large 'cul de sac' with no through traffic. A side gate leads to the fully-enclosed courtyard garden where bicycles or fishing gear that you may bring with you or hire at one of the Hire shops in the Forest can be securely stored. A garden table and chairs provide the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine or beer after a hard day's sightseeing. Reclining chairs are also provided.

Dog Owners, Cyclists and Walkers are welcome.

Walk to the pub, restaurants, tea and coffee shops and cafes. 30 second walk to the open New Forest, ideal for walking the dog or walking yourselves!
