We didn’t realise how popular New Forest cycling would become when we first hopped off a train on borrowed bikes to explore the woodland trails around Brockenhurst. Within 3 months, we’d raised a small business loan, moved from Bournemouth and set up business in a shed in a pub car park.  The rest as they say is history (at least, very local history).

1994 - We bought the redundant Island Shop premises which had fallen on hard times in the 1990’s recession. This site eventually became a cycle shop and is now the home to our sister company Boost Bike Hub.

1998 - When bike hire & bike sales became too much for the site, we were encouraged to move the bike hire activity to the train station car park nearby which gave us great transport connectivity, car parking spaces and a safe area to test ride bikes…and still does!

2016 - After 2 years of head scratching, planning and piggy bank raiding we opened our current bike hire & showroom centre, just metres from our old shipping containers.  With help from the National Park Authority and Dept of Transport, we are now the largest independent cycle hire business on the South Coast (possibly the UK).

Our fleet incorporates bikes for all ages and abilities, with electric bikes an ever growing addition. Whether you want a leisurely ride with the family, a more adventurous ride with friends, or a New Forest pony safari (look, don’t touch); we have many routes for you to choose from.  It is important to cycle only on the approved trails due to the conservation status of the New Forest and we have a mobile phone app to help you stay on track and avoid getting lost in the woods.  Our modern facilities offer pre packaged drinks and snacks or you can get something warmer or naughtier from the Absent Pony coffee trailer located at Boost Bike Hub nearby. We are open every day throughout the year for you to enjoy the New Forest in all seasons.
