Child-free breaks to the New Forest

If you want to totally escape from children, then be sure to check out the exclusively for adults, Back of Beyond Touring, Camping & Glamping Park, near Ringwood. With its on-site bar, regular visiting caterers and woodland walks, Back of Beyond offers a choice of glamping pitch including cosy shepherd huts with their own wood burners. Or, bring along your tent, tourer or caravan for a peaceful camping break.

Pack your tent, tourer or campervan for a camping break at Longbeech Campsite, offering adult only camping at Fritham from the end of March until the end of September. With no toilet or shower facilities, the emphasis on Longbeech Campsite is on nothing but nature. You’ll find New Forest Ponies and deer roaming through the campsite.

With a host of classes, treatment and therapies, spend time immersing yourself in you time in this gorgeous Georgian mansion. Love your yoga? Then the Lush Farm Day Yoga Retreat, near Lymington, makes for a relaxing, zen-like day. You can book this experience, and other child-free activities via Experience Hampshire.

Learn about the vines and wines produced by Setley Ridge Vineyard on a guided tour. Although tours aren’t strictly for over 18s, the nature of the tour means that it tends to be just adults on them. Alternatively, exclusive tours can be booked for an extra charge.

If you are a big foodie then book a lunch at The Pig, where food is locally sourced, enjoy all day dining at Lime Wood’s Hartnett Holder & Co restaurant or a spot of afternoon tea at 5-star Chewton Glen Hotel. Although none of these restaurants are officially child-free, they tend to be catered more for adults.
